What is Bios 

BIOS Basic Input/Output System- also known as the system bios is a standard defining a firmware interface.

The bios is boot firmware, designed to be the first code run by a PC when powered on. The initial function of the BIOS is to Identify, Test, and Initialize System devices such as the video display card, hard disk, and other hardware.

1 Short Beep when logo display
*No error during POST (Power On Self Test)

1 Long Beep or 3 Short Beep (No Display)
*Ram defective
*No Ram present

1 Long Beep fallow by 2 or 3 Short Beeps 
*Video Card defective
*No Video Card present

High Frequency Beep 
*CPU Running at low frequency
